Frequently asked questions
Does Air Live Drive sync or download all my files?
No. Your files stay in the cloud and are opened only when you use them, so nothing is copied in bulk to your PC. On Windows you decide how much local cache to keep; on Mac, Finder downloads just the files you open.
Does it take up space on my hard drive?
Only the space you allow for the cache. On Windows you can set its size and location and clear it at any time; on Mac, Finder's Remove Download frees the space without deleting the file from the cloud.
What is the difference between the free and the Pro version?
The free version connects up to 3 drives, one per cloud service. Pro removes those limits and unlocks extra features such as startup and administrator passwords and exporting your drives.
Is it safe to connect my Google Drive or OneDrive account?
Yes. You sign in on the provider's own page, so Air Live Drive never sees your Google or Microsoft password. Your account details are saved only on your computer and are not sent to our servers.
Does it work on Windows and Mac?
Yes. On Windows each cloud appears as a drive with its own letter in File Explorer. On macOS 13 or later your clouds appear in Finder through Apple's File Provider. Both versions are free to download.
Why does Air Live Drive install Dokan on Windows?
Dokan Library is a free, open-source driver that lets Air Live Drive create drives in File Explorer. The installer adds it only if it is missing, and it stays if you uninstall Air Live Drive. Mac doesn't need it.
